Allocations | The Network Tab
The Network Tab
Introduction
Every port you connect to is not the actual server port.
Instead, it is a port routed through our proxies. Your server itself is running on a different internal port.
This setup allows servers to be started dynamically across different nodes, which helps distribute the load between individual nodes and ensures better resource utilization.
It is important to note that you can still use proxies such as Velocity to connect multiple servers together. Further information on how to set this up can be found below.
How to find the real Server port.
Navigate to the Network tab of your Server, there you will find all Ports. That you have assigned to your Server. You can also create new allocations if slots are available.
You will now see a few things.

- Your IP Address - You external IP that you can join with
- Your Port - The port you are connecting to externally
- Your Backend IP - The IP that is used within the ByteProject Network
- Your Backend Port - The Port the Server actually listens on
If you have a Plugin like GeyserMC, you'll need to configure the Backend Port as the Port for the Plugin.
